The Fall of D'ni Memorial Island or officially Bahn’tefoonet[1] ("Memorial Island" in D'ni) is a small island in the D'ni cavern which was found by explorer TGMChrist and was converted into a memorial to commemorate the victims of the Fall of D'ni by TGMChrist, Tweek and the Restoration Team.
It contains the eponymous Fall of D'ni Memorial also made by TGMChrist.
Entrance
The island can be either accessed via a linking book on a pedestal in the Chiso Preniv library or the Nexus. Later it will be also possible to reach the island with a boat from Ae'gura.
Appearance
The island is relative small and covered with stalagmites like any other island in the cavern. The courtyard where the memorial now stands was once the location of an even larger stalagmite, which now lies on the side of the island, with the top partially submerged. There is also a dock on the island and a stairway to the memorial with a balcony on the halfway.
History
The island was already in use some time before the Fall, but for what purpose it served is currently unknown. It is believed that the island was either used for weddings or was most likely a small park overlooking Ae'gura. There used to be a fountain at the location where the memorial now stands, but it was so severely damaged during the Fall that it was impossible to rebuild.
In 2015, Christopher Therburg, also known as TGMChrist, was one of the few who noticed the island for the first time. But it was covered in debris, giving the impression that the island was unused.
Starting in late 2021, TGMChrist announced that the island will be restored and turned into a memorial place dedicated to the fall of D'ni after two locations in Ae'gura were rejected.
In spring 2023, after a year-long hiatus, TGMChrist announced that Tweek was joining the island's restoration, with Christopher serving as overseer instead. Many months later the island was opened to the community.[2]

The Fall of D'ni Memorial Island was created by TGMChrist and Tweek and was first announced on December 30, 2021[3] after the previous locations Kings Lookout and Sutherland Point had been rejected. Updated for play in MOULa by Doobes, it was released on the Minkata shard on September 3, 2023[4], in preparation for the release on MOULa on November 18, 2023.
