The Five Lords or Great Lords were the leaders of the D'ni government for the last portion of its history, established by King Kerath when he abdicated in 6977 DE. Chosen from the 18 Grand Masters, they were the heads of the Council and made many important decisions, but only participated in a Council votes if it was close enough for them to influence the result. When a Lord died the Great Bell of Ae'gura would sound.

The last Lords were killed by A'gaeris and Veovis's plague despite fleeing to a Guild Age.
