This page is for reporting bugs that you may encounter in the wiki. This does not cover in-game issues that you may encounter, nor does it cover page contents within individual articles.
- If you are experiencing an in-game bug or issue that requires technical support, check the Cyan or Myst Online forums.
- The Archive is not a hint guide. If you are stuck in a game and need help solving a puzzle, please ask in the forums linked above.
- If you have a problem with contents of a page, use the associated talk page.
Please review existing bug reports before creating a new one. If you add a bug not related to the wiki (such as an in-game bug), the report may be removed with no action taken.
When reporting a new bug, be sure to provide a description of the problem, your wiki username, the information from any error message received, and any additional comments that may help someone reproduce and troubleshoot the suspected bug.
Image Uploading Broken
Since I joined the Wiki a few weeks ago, one of the things I've been wanting to do is to contribute some images for articles that are currently in need of them. Unfortunately when I tried to upload one a few weeks ago I found the uploader wouldn't work, and provided me with the following error message:
Could not open lock file for "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/2/2b/KI-Dispenser.png". Make sure your upload directory is configured correctly and your web server has permission to write to that directory. See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Manual:$wgUploadDirectory for more information.
At first I contacted Korovev on Reddit as I'd come across them on Reddit before and noticed they are active here on the wiki. They confirmed that it wasn't just me and that the image uploader has been broken for quite a while.
I tried again today to double-check and it's still broken.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be or how it might be resolved?
