Loshemanesh Laws

The Loshemanesh Laws were a set of regulations instituted by King Loshemanesh, which criminalized the trade of illicit Ages (enacted in 4305 DE) and the coercion of any native Age-dweller to commit a crime (enacted in 4307 DE). Punishment for both of these actions was permanent, solitary imprisonment in a prison Age.

While Loshemanesh attempted to argue that interaction with outsiders itself was not problematic, and that these laws were intended to better guide the tenor of those interactions, many in D'ni failed to discern the difference. Instead, these laws fed into the rising tide of xenophobia and isolationism that characterized D'ni during this time in their history.
