Myst: The Book of D'ni was published in 1997 as the third Myst novel. It centers around Atrus's efforts to rebuild D'ni after its fall. Those efforts get put on hold, though—and eventually cancelled—when his expedition discovers an ancient link to Terahnee, the second home of the Ronay, D'ni's ancestors in The Art.
