The Ronay were inhabitants of a planet called Garternay. They were the original inventors of the Art, which enabled them to travel to other worlds that they called Ages. It is unclear how long Ronay civilization lasted on Garternay, but eventually they were forced to flee their home world because its sun was dying.[1] The majority of the Ronay settled on Terahnee, while other splinter groups, including the D'ni, were granted permission by the king to settle on other Ages.
