Second Attendant's unexpected ability to communicate with humans in a variety of ways (for example, when she broadcast a long-distance message from Shorty) led to her 'promotion' amongst the ranks of the bahro to that of liaison to the humans. In particular she has been assigned by Chief of the Elders to assist Lukas Gruber in Er'cana.[1]
With no outward distinguishing characteristics, Second Attendant can be recognised by her quirky but charming telepathic communications. She is quick-witted and assertive, and like Shorty seems to enjoy working with the humans.
