Transliteration[edit | edit source]
Box[edit | edit source]
The text on the base of the box appears as thus:
Original D'ni | votahrteeah brehehndaitahntee |
---|---|
Dnifont Transliteration | votahrteeah brehehndaitahntee |
This, however, appears to be a mistake.
It is conjectured that the intended text is as thus:
Original D'ni | votartEa breenDAtantE |
---|---|
OTS Transliteration | votahrteeah breendaytahntee |
English Translation | Praise the builders [lit. You praise to the builders] |
The mistakes being that:
- Two 'e's (e) were used where an 'ee' (E) was intended.
- An 'ahh' (ah) was used where an 'ah' (a) was intended.
- An 'eh' (eh) was used where merely 'e' (e) was intended.
- Hence 'breh' (breh) was used where 'bre' (bre) was intended.
- A 'dh' (d) was used where 'd' (D) was intended
- The compound 'ahi' (ai) was used where 'ay' (A) was intended
