== Span vs Shahfee ==

Perhaps rather than calling it a 'span' it would make more sense to use the proper D'ni name '[[Dictionary:Shahfee|shahfee]]' to avoid future confusion with surface-dweller [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Span_(unit)?useskin=vector spans]? Particularly as surface-dwelling wiki visitors aren't necessarily likely to know there is such a thing as a D'ni span.

Note that:
* [[Shahfee]] is a redirect to [[Span]], so anyone wondering what a shahfee is won't have to look far.
* While 'Sh' is used for the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shannon_(unit)?useskin=vector shannon], a unit of information, 'sh' (all lowercase) appears unused, so using 'sh' as a short form would be unlikely to cause confusion.
** Failing that, 'sf' appears entirely unused, or some three-letter form such as 'shf' may be used as most units have two-letter abbreviations.
