Gihran (giran[contested]) was the Grand Master of the Guild of Linguists near the time of the fall of D'ni. He was tasked with handling Anna's education in the D'ni language following her unexpected arrival in D'ni. Unlike his partner, Guild Master Haemis, he disliked Anna, but nevertheless still expressed surprise in his reports to the Five Lords at how quickly she managed to become fluent in their language.
