Usage

"REDIRECT" redirects here. TEXT.
- If the first parameter is not specified, the template will output an error message and add the page to Category:Hatnote templates with errors. If the page specified in the first parameter doesn't exist, the page will be added to Category:Missing redirects.
- If the second parameter is not specified, the template will output an error message and add the page to Category:Pages using redirect3 without text specified and Category:Hatnote templates with errors. This is because a message saying only that some page redirects to the current one is redundant to an automatic redirection notice produced by MediaWiki.
- If a third parameter is specified, the page will be added to Category:Hatnote templates using unusual parameters.
- Since the template will produce a period at the end, TEXT should not end with a period. Doing so will produce a double period.
- Since TEXT will appear in italics, if TEXT or part of it is marked up for italic, what is so marked up will appear as plain, or nonitalic.
