The Age of Ederat was written by Veovis, shortly before the [[fall of D'ni], to serve as a base for him and A'gaeris as they plotted the destruction of D'ni.

There was ultimately no idyllic end for Ederat. Although Aitrus admired the brilliance of Veovis's writing, he altered the Book to transform it into a fiery inferno. In a hostage stand-off with A'gaeris over Aitrus' wife and son, Aitrus linked to Ederat, prompting A'gaeris to pursue him. Both men perished shortly after arriving, as the Age tore itself apart.
