Portals are gateways to specific broad topics in the Archive. They are designed to provide an entry point for visitors and readers who may not know what they're looking for well enough to use the search bar, but know, for instance, that what they're after was in Myst. Portals should be created for Archive content only, and not for maintenance efforts. If there is a sustained effort needed to fill out a topic category with Archive content, efforts to do so should be tracked in an Archive project. These efforts can include creating a portal, but efforts should be coordinated through the project page and not on the portal itself.
