Unexplored Branches is the name of the expanded universe for the Myst and Uru franchises. The Branches are an umbrella for works associated with, authorized by Cyan, or otherwise considered to have high canonicity, but do not fall within the boundaries of "full" canon.
Projects
The following projects are considered to be a part of the Unexplored Branches expanded universe:
- Unwritten, a tabletop role-playing game set in the Myst and Uru universe.
- Intangibles - A collection of Ages and other locations that were originally conceived by Cyan for Uru Live, but were never completed.
- Fan-created content for Myst Online: Uru Live (again) - Any fan-created Ages or locations added to Myst Online: Uru Live (again).
Requirements
In order for a project to be considered a part of Unexplored Branches, it must be authorized by Cyan and the Cyan Lore team as such. Each Unexplored Branches project may have its own unique set of restrictions or requirements. These requirements are spelled out on the individual projects' pages for ease of access.
