The ornithophidian is a winged reptile native to Haven. This winged snake is normally torpid to the point of extreme rigidity, maintaining a tight hold on its resting place. However, if properly stimulated, the reptile will release its grip on its perch and flee the annoyance. Achenar used this trait to his advantage, using the ornithophidian as a biological "lock" on mechanisms he wished to protect from operation by others.
