Tree elevator

The tree elevator on Myst Island is controlled by a rusty wheel in the cabin and another in the underground Book Vault. To use the elevator, the pilot light in the cabin must be lit. Once that is done, rotating either wheel clockwise will raise the elevator and counterclockwise will lower it. One can go no farther down than the vault. The lift can also give players an incredible vista of the island by going up in it, but can also reach the ground again via a pressurized steam button to counteract the boiler. Unlike the other pine trees in the forest, this one is in fact completely synthetic, given the reason that it can pneumatically extend and retract.
