Anya is one of the Protectors of Serenia, and her primary responsibility is the care of the Serenian Memory Chamber. She is guided in Dream by the Water Spirit. When Atrus and Catherine brought Yeesha to Serenia as a young girl, Anya developed a close bond with her and guided her through many of the traditions of her people.
