Linking to K'veer with the page

[Atrus]
Ah, my friend, you've returned! And the page, did you bring the page?

Ah… [Atrus holds out his hand.] Give it to me.

Give me the page. Please, give me the page. The page, my friend, the page. [If you do not give him the page, this portion repeats]

[You give Atrus the page.]

You've done the right thing. I have a difficult choice to make.

[Atrus pulls out his Myst Linking Book and inserts the page. He thinks for a moment.]

My sons have betrayed me. I know what I must do. I shall return shortly.

[Atrus links back to Myst. After a moment, he returns.]

Hmm, it is done. Oh, I have many questions for you, my friend, but my writing can not wait. I fear that my long delay may have already had a catastrophic impact on the world in which my wife, Catherine, is now being held hostage.

[Atrus resumes writing for a moment.]

Oh, and, uh, reward… I'm sorry, but all I have to offer you is the library on the island of Myst and the Books that are contained there. Feel free to explore at your leisure. I hope you find your explorations satisfying. You will no longer have my sons to deal with.

[Another pause to continue writing.]

Oh, and uh, one more favor. I am fighting a foe much greater than my sons could even imagine. At some point in the future, I may find it necessary to request your assistance. Until that point, feel free to enjoy the explorations from my library on Myst. Thank you again.

[Atrus resumes writing; if you remain, he looks up and gestures at the Myst Linking Book.]

The book, you can use the Myst Linking Book to return to Myst.

[Atrus resumes his writing and does not look up at you again.]

Linking to K'veer without the page

[Atrus]
Ah, my friend, you've returned! We meet face to face. And the page? Did you bring the page?

[Atrus stares at you for a moment.]

You didn't bring the page. You didn't bring the page…

[Atrus slams his hand on the Book on his desk.]

WHAT KIND OF FOOL ARE YOU?! [groans] Did you not take my warning seriously?

[Atrus sighs, then shrugs dejectedly.]

Welcome to D'ni. You and I shall live here… forever.

[Atrus resumes his writing. After a moment, he glances up slightly, then shakes his head and continues writing.]
