The popularity of these “games” has gone too far. Something needs to be done.

If I can play devil’s advocate for a minute (taking a page, as it were, from your book Kodama), the future explorers are hardly to be blamed for being attracted to these diversions. At least he’s giving them something to do, which from their perspective, is more than we’re doing at the moment.

Zandi is quite a showman – gathering people under his wing. I would still submit that it’s harmless, except for what it’s leading to and how it affects what we’re doing. Past experience leads me to believe that he’s simply got his own agenda on how this should work, and it doesn’t neccessariy include us.

Maybe we’re not doing enough coordination. Should we be a bit more proactive?

I see how it is. We do all the work and then he tries to cut us out of the loop? :X

Maybe you’re right, Vic. Maybe we do need to take things into our own hands a bit more. In fact, I have an idea of something we can do. It isn’t something I can have ready overnight, but maybe it will be ready by the end of next week.

Good to hear Marie.

The sooner we do something, the better.

I agree that providing the future explorers a means of preparing for what’s ahead is a good thing. I am concerned, however, that we be completely certain that we are not distracted from our current tasks at hand.

Marie, the fact that you think your idea will take about a week seems like it’s a bit higher impact on our schedule than maybe we should be doing at the moment.

I think it would be a good compromise to set up a new forum on these boards for them to discuss their explorations of the surface. It’s a low impact (for us) way to contribute to their preparations.

If any of you have more low impact ideas, feel free to discuss them with me in person.

Don’t worry, Dr. Watson. I have no intention of letting my little idea impact our progress. That’s why I said it would take a week — not because the idea itself will take a week, but that I’ll only be able to work on it a little at a time.

I made some progress over the weekend. :)

OK, my little project is completed: A little piece of the restoration to make available to those on the surface.

I know it’s not as fancy as some of the other cafepress shops, but it’ll do for now.

Let me know what you think.

A t-shirt? This is the best alternative we can offer?

Yes, we have time constraints but this “weekend project” should have never left the drawing board.

I like it Marie, but it’s unfortunate that the image wasn’t taken from higher, like from the Guild Hall rather than the lake level. And you don’t really get the same sense of scale without the surrounding rock formations.

I like it too, Marie. Go with it. A few people have already found the shop on cafepress, but to make it official, you should post the URL.

Dr. Watson

PS – Kodama, you are free to come up with your own low-impact ideas, if you so desire.

OK.

The cafepress shop can be found here. (http://www.cafepress.com/drcstuff)

There’s only one shirt at the moment. Do you think there would be interest for other items too?
