Talk:J'nanin
Abandoned permanently? I doubt it.[edit source]
The following is simply how it appears to me, but here goes: The Books that were destroyed in the fire were the Riven Descriptive Book (presumably already intentionally damaged lest someone link to the uninhabitable wreck by accident) and the J'nanin Book that Atrus had left on Narayan back in the 1700's (and the latter was damaged so badly by the time the fire was out that Atrus and Katran didn't know where to start looking). That means that the Book Katran brought to Atrus was from the Place of Protection on Myst, and was presumably returned there after Atrus came back. Furthermore, the Linking Books still worked, which means that the Descriptive Book was working (and Yahvo, in His Providence, somehow held the Stranger back from accessing that particular Place of Protection on Myst). And with Atrus appearing to be in the early stages of Alzheimer's in End of Ages, by now he will have passed on and his estate been divided according to his last will and testament.-Korora (talk) 17:58, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
