Ja'ir
Race D'ni

Ja'ir was a Master of the Guild of Writers near the time of the fall of D'ni.

During the expedition to the surface, Ja'ir served as one of four "observers", sent by the Guild Council to determine whether the project should be completed and contact with surface dwellers established. He spent several days in the company of Guild Master Telanis and his team before returning to the Council with a verdict that would result in the construction of the Great Shaft, despite Ja'ir's own doubts about whether the results of the expedition would justify the effort.

Ja'ir later became Grand Master of the Guild. He supervised the writing of the Age that was intended to be Veovis's final prison.
