Barnacle moss

Barnacle moss is a collection of red, balloon-like pods intertwined with a mass of mossy greenery, and is native to the Age of Edanna. It is also one of the primary sources of food for squees, and will react to a squee's chirps, inflating the pods to attract the squee to it. When inflated, the moss is sturdy and stable enough to be used as a walkway.
A large mat of barnacle moss was transplanted to J'nanin, where it serves as a collapsible bridge to the Edanna Linking Book's place of protection.
