Erlar was Carel's younger brother, and Catherine's cousin. Like his brother, he was to be punished by Gehn for assisting Atrus, but his punishment was interrupted by the first catastrophic collapse of Riven, which culminated in Atrus and Catherine's escape. Erlar's fate following this incident is unknown.
