The Archive has color schemes for every Major Guild available to use in tables and infoboxes. These can be used to group certain types of content thematically across the Archive; for example, the infobox for an Age uses the "writers" color scheme, while the infobox for devices uses the "mechanists" color scheme.
For more information about creating tables with wiki markup, see
Help:Tables.
To use a color scheme in a table, add class="wikitable colorscheme"
to the first line of your table definition, where colorscheme
is the name of the scheme you want to use. You can also apply a specific color scheme to an individual row or cell by adding class="colorscheme"
to that specific section of the table.
By default, tables are not styled. Adding only the wikitable
class will create a table with gray cells, similar to the design used for linguists
.
The definition list-based navbox, {{navboxdl}}
, can also be themed using the same schemes. To use a color scheme in a navbox, add the bodyclass
parameter and specify the scheme you want to use.
The same code can be added to the {{infobox}}
template's parameters to create an infobox using that color scheme.
If no color scheme is specified, navboxes and infoboxes will use the archivists
scheme by default.
Thematic applications[edit source]
As mentioned above, these schemes can be used to create a consistent look to certain types of content throughout the Archive. These are some of the existing ways that these color schemes are being used:
- archivists (default)
- Archive-related navigation and information.
- books
- Infoboxes about written works that are not Ages.
- chemists
- Infoboxes about plants.
- greeters
- Infoboxes about people.
- healers
- Infoboxes about animals.
- maintainers
- Infoboxes for DRC-related materials.
- mechanists
- Infoboxes about machines and other devices.
- stonemasons
- Infoboxes for buildings and other structures.
- surveyors
- Infoboxes about places and locations.
- writers
- Infoboxes for articles about Ages, navboxes for groups of Ages (such as
{{Ages written by Atrus}}
).
Visual list of schemes[edit source]
Below is a complete list of all 18 available color schemes, as they appear when used in a table. To see what they look like when used in a navbox, see the {{navboxdl}}
template's documentation. When used in an infobox, they look similar to the way their appearance in a table.
