Sam Reynolds worked for the DRC during the Second Restoration of D'ni, as a translator for Dr. Watson. He wrote some of the DRC notebooks about the D'ni Kings, specifically the ones about Ri'neref (partially), Ailesh, Naygen, and Asemlef. He also started doing translation work related to Teledahn for Douglas Sharper, but stopped after two months due to being too busy with other work.[1]
