(Capitalise 'l' in 'Lost'. Rewrite the tail end of the introductory paragraph, with citation. Add a 'Book of Birenni' section, detailing the specific book often referenced elsewhere, with citations. Add 'citation needed' template for claims about a recurring festival being held and that said festival was first held in 2262 (which seems unlikely, as the plague wasn't cured until 2268, and the first child wasn't born until 2270).)
(Cite starting hahr for the celebration of the festival as being six years after the initial discovery. Leave footnote containing the relevant parts of the text from which this can be discerned.)

Books of Birenni
Author Birenni

The Books of Birenni were a collection of Ages written by a D'ni author named Birenni. They are often referred to as the "Lost Books of Birenni", as they had been lost for many millenia. They were originally lost upon the arrival of the D'ni to Earth in 0 DE, and weren't rediscovered until 2262 DE, on Leevobro 12.[1]

The Book of Birenni[edit | edit source]

One book in particular is of such importance that it is often referred to as the Book of Birenni.[a][2]

It was in this book that the cure to Ahlsendar's Plague was found, in the form of a particular plant.[3] King Hemelin had sought this book for a long time, but it wasn't until Queen Lalen started searching through the old histories that hints to the book's whereabouts were found, culminating in the rediscovery of the book itself.[4]

Festival[edit | edit source]

Starting in 2268 DE[3][b], a festival was held in D'ni on the anniversary of the rediscovery of these Books[citation needed]—Leevobro 12 (roughly December 13th). This festival is sometimes described as celebrating the finding of the "Lost Book of Birenni", referring specifically to the Age in which the cure was found.[2] It was celebrated by hiding firemarbles throughout D'ni and the Ages for children to find, and was also a popular day for weddings.[3]

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. I.e. in singular form, with a definite article.
  2. "Six years later [...] the plague was officially defeated. King Hemelin wed Lalen on that day [...] From that day forward, for many years, the celebrations were grand."
