- Me'erta tries unsuccessfully to pressure the Guild of Writers into relaxing their oath.[1][a]
1999 DE[edit source]
- Jolatha breaks into the Tomb of the Great King and steals several Books, relocating them to the Temple of the Tree. She dies two days later. The books she removed from the tomb remained in the Temple of the Tree.[1][b]
- King Me'erta quietly orders that the Tomb of the Great King be resealed in a much stronger way.[1]

- ↑ The reference implies that Me'erta's mother Jolatha may have been somehow responsible for this incident.
- ↑ There is reason to believe that Jolatha's removal of the books may have been what caused the reemergence of Ahlsendar's plague 16 hahrtee later, during the reign of Jolatha's grandson Gan.
- ↑ His cause of death is unstated, but the implication of the text is that he was assasinated, as it is stated that he was "found dead" after refusing to change the Guild of Writers' oath, and that his death was rumoured to be "on order from Jolatha".
