The Fourth Restoration of D'ni, sometimes referred to as the "Third Modern Restoration of D'ni" and also known as the Explorers' Restoration, is a human-led effort to rebuild and re-inhabit the D'ni cavern that began in the second decade of the 21st century CE. Although the line between "archaeological expedition" and "restoration effort" is blurry during this period, for the purposes of this Archive, the restoration effort itself is considered to have begun in 2010 CE, with the reopening of the Cavern without the supervision of the DRC. They have only a consulting role in assuring the safety and integrity of any and all upcoming Ages and cavern areas.[1]
